On my last visit to Seattle I finally visited my friend, Max, who has been in business with his new boutique store DELI. The aesthetic of the store takes on an old school meat DELI from the city of Seattle. Max didnt skip a beat, displaying the product on classic fridgerators and meat displays. Majority of the clothing lines he carries are aimmed towards the grown and the sexy. The idea and concepting took place over a year ago and im glad he took my advice and really thought everything through. Big plans in the future with Max and I.
Aside from carrying an array of dope men’s/ladies’ wear, every first thursday of the new month he participates in the ARTWALK in Seattle’s pioneer square district. John Osgood, a local seattle artist, showed the week i was in seattle.

Mobility1:Week2-Concept is a go! Mr. Phantom says do it!
Posted in Uncategorized on September 16, 2009 by waffledesignsMobility is in session. The project brief in a nutshell is to design a tour vehicle for 1 to 2 passengers. There are 3 countries to choose from 1.) japan 2.) France 3.) U.S.A. I chose Japan because I’m missing a small (kei car) car in my portfolio, so i believe this project will be beneficial to it.

My Concept is based on two individuals that want to get away and have a action packed month folloing the Sakura (cherry blossom) blossom front. Along with following the front, they would also enjoy the top amusement/theme parks in japan. The two of them are frequent bloggers (as i am) and will be blogging their experiences at each amusement park/Hanami Party (Sakura viewing party) Locations.

I pitched my concept to my instructor, Marek Djordjevic, and he enjoyed it. Marek Djordjevic, for all those that follow my blogs has quiet a history with the BMW group. He is well known for designing the Rolls Royce Phantom, RR 100EX and the RR drophead coupe’.

Tons of thoughts are going through my head, im excited about this project, im challenging myself and can’t wait to manifest this idea into physical form. Stay adhesive.

My trip to Seattle part1
Posted in Uncategorized on September 12, 2009 by waffledesignsI was born and raised in Beacon Hill, Seattle and although ive been living in LA for about 5 yrs now, that will always remain who i am. A Seattlelite at heart, but a LA go getter. I always get asked how I like LA and if i imagine myself living there and to be honest, i cant say i dont like LA, i enjoy its riches of activities, inspiration and limelightness, but when it comes to substance, i think Seattle has more substance and meaning. Only because here in LA everything is devoured and digested quickly, that everyone is on the next thing. No time for marinatation. To say the least im a 50/50 when it comes to both Seattle and LA. Enjoy the pictures of Seattle.
